Album Art

With music being a passion of mine, one of my goals is to design album art for recording artists. As a passion project, I design mock album art for some of my favorite musicians and songs. Here is my concept for a Jennifer Lopez compilation album I thought could be released as a limited edition vinyl.

For something truly original, I wanted to compile a tracklist of unreleased demos and remixes. Every fan wants to feel as though they have a piece of something exclusive from their favorite artists.

With the rise in popularity of vinyl records in recent years, this new generation of collectors enjoy seeing bonus features to their media. Some examples include colored vinyl, spot gloss, and gatefold openings. When designing this mock up, I took this into consideration to design something both exclusive and premium. I also incorporate the worn effect to the design to make the record feel it had been dug up from someone’s basement after years of storage. Also I thought this vintage feel would match the theme of the album being that it features rare demos and remixes.
