Hackensack University Medical Center
Hackensack University Medical Center's annual Recognition Gala is a prestigious event that honors it’s employees and raises money to benefit their mission to transform health care by providing quality patient care, medical education, and progressive research. In 2019 I had the pleasure of designing the invitation to the gala which was held at The Shed in Hudson Yards, New York City and featured guest performer John Legend.
I interpreted the unique design of The Shed into my construction of the invitation by having it slide open and light up to reveal the event information, similar to the way The Shed slides open to hold their events.
The entire project included several collateral, including an RSVP card, sponsorship card, map card, guest performer card, and envelopes. The invite included LED lights that flickered as the outer sleeve slid open. The outer sleeve of the invitation had debossed lines imitating the windows of The Shed. Type on the outer sleeve and several collateral elements were foil stamped in a royal blue.
